Gustin was a bulldog for the Saints this week, throwing out
of bullpen three times in six days. On Saturday against
Colby he threw 3 2/3 innings of relief giving them an
opportunity to get back into the game by allowing just 1 hit
and 1 run for the Saints. Originally thought to be out of
commission on the mound for Sunday, Gustin stepped up and
was called to duty late in the series finale against the
Trojans and the freshman lefty tossed a perfect 9th, 10th,
and 11th inning to pick up a win as the Saints pulled off
the extra inning victory.
