Week 10 NJCAA Volleyball Polls See Six KJCCC Teams Hold Steady In Rankings
NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball Poll | NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Poll
CHARLOTTE, NC – Ahead of the start of NJCAA Plains District Volleyball Tournaments on Wednesday evening, the NJCAA has released its final regular season volleyball polls of the 2025 regular season, with six Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference teams maintaining positions in the polls.
Of the six teams that are ranked this week, five are unchanged with their rankings from the prior week, while the lone change comes courtesy of KJCCC D1 volleyball outright regular season champion Barton Community College.
Securing their third-straight KJCCC D1 volleyball regular season title with three wins last week, Barton moved up one spot in the latest NJCAA D1 volleyball top 20 poll to reclaim a top-five ranking after ending the regular season on an 11-match win streak to sit at 28-5 overall heading into the postseason. The Cougars defeated Seward County, Garden City, and Cloud County last week to finish one game clear of Colby in the KJCCC standings as all five of their losses this year are to teams ranked in the top 13 of the final regular season poll. Also ranked in the NJCAA Division 1 top 20 poll is Colby Community College as the Trojans remain steady at number 13 this week after winning their lone match last week over Pratt to finish the regular season with a 22-6 overall record. Of their six losses, four have come to teams ranked in this week’s NJCAA D1 volleyball top 20 poll.
There were no changes to KJCCC schools and their rankings in the final regular season NJCAA Division 2 top 25 poll as Cowley (number four), Kansas City Kansas (number five), and Johnson County (number six) continue to give the conference three teams ranked in the top 10 of the polls. Also holding steady was number 14 Neosho County, as the four ranked conference schools combined to go 5-0 last week to close out the regular season.
Now that postseason is on the schedule, matchups for the NJCAA Plains District Volleyball Tournaments will begin on Wednesday, November 5th, with all six ranked KJCCC schools in action. Kicking off the postseason on Wednesday is NJCAA D2 number six Johnson County as the Cavaliers are on the road for a match at NJCAA D2 volleyball Region 2 Champion and number 18-ranked Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, while the remaining five ranked KJCCC schools will all host opening round tournament matchups on their home courts. The 2025 NJCAA D1 Volleyball Plains District Tournament will shift to a neutral site for the semifinals and finals, with the four first-round winners advancing to Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays, Kansas, for games on Saturday, November 8th, and Sunday, November 9th. The NJCAA D2 Volleyball Plains District A and B tournaments will join the action for championship matches on Sunday, November 9th, with the highest remaining seeds in each District Tournament hosting matches.
