CHARLOTTE, NC – Averaging 8.75 digs per set and recording her third match this season of 30 or more digs last week, Hutchinson Community College volleyball defensive specialist Clara Oliveira has been named the NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

In Hutchinson's lone match of the week, freshman Libero Clara Oliveira had 35 digs in a four-set victory over Seward County. This was Oliveira's third match this season with 30 or more digs and helped the Blue Dragons continue to battle for conference tournament seeding.
