2025 KJCCC D1 Volleyball Players of the Week - Week 8
COLBY, Kan. – Putting together unbeaten weeks to remain as the top two teams in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Volleyball standings, Colby Community College and Barton Community College were led last week by the week eight KJCCC D1 Volleyball Players of the Week Isadora Carrareto, Amanda Caputi, and Mina Kaneko.
Isadora Carrareto (Colby) - KJCCC D1 Volleyball Player of the Week
Sophomore middle blocker Isadora Carrareto was a dominant offensive presence for the Trojans in a pair of conference sweeps over Cloud County and Hutchinson last week. Over six sets, Carrareto totaled 19 kills (3.17 per set) while hitting an exceptional .692 on 26 total swings. Carrareto delivered a remarkable .833 hitting percentage against Cloud and followed with a strong .571 performance versus Hutchinson while also contributing six blocks and 22.5 total points across the two matches to keep the Trojans unbeaten in KJCCC play.
Amanda Caputi (Colby) – KJCCC D1 Volleyball Setter of the Week
Colby setter Amanda Caputi orchestrated the Trojan offense with precision in a pair of conference sweeps over Cloud County and Hutchinson. Across six sets, Caputi tallied 75 assists (12.5 per set) while adding 13 digs (2.17 per set), three blocks, and three service aces. The sophomore also contributed offensively with three kills in the win over Cloud County and directed a balanced Colby attack to fuel the Trojans' offensive rhythm and remain undefeated in KJCCC play.
Mina Kaneko (Barton) – KJCCC D1 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Sophomore libero Mina Kaneko's steady back-row presence anchored 12th-ranked Barton's defense through a pair of conference victories, helping the Cougars extend their win streak to five with a sweep of Seward County followed by a four-set win over Dodge City. Kaneko averaged 5.14 digs per set across seven sets, finishing with 36 total digs while adding nine assists and two service aces. The four-time KJCCC Defensive Player of the Week opened the stretch with 21 digs, four assists, and an ace in the sweep of Seward County, then followed with 15 digs, five assists, and another ace in Saturday's four-set victory over Dodge City.
