KJCCC - I Volleyball Players of the Week, Week 6, 2015

Sophomore Aubrey Wilson produced the Hutchinson volleyball program's first quadruple-double in team history and helped the No. 5 Blue Dragons to a solid 4-2 week. The Quadruple-Double happened in a thrilling five-set loss to No. 16 West Plains (HCC lost 16-14 in the 5th) in the Blue Dragon Volleyball Classic. She had 15 kills, 11 total blocks, 11 digs and 24 set assists. Wilson hit .310 in the match. For the week in six matches and 24 sets played, the Blue Dragon right-side/setter hit .320 and averages 2.21 kills, 0.96 blocks and 4.96 assists per set. Her .643 hitting percentage against Barton was the sixth time this season Wilson has hit .500 or better. She has hit .300 or better in 12 of 19 matches this season.

Sophomore libero McKenzie Steele posted three matches of 20 or more digs and had just two receiving errors in 91 attempts in a 4-2 week for the No. 5 Blue Dragons. Steele tied a season high with 24 digs in a five-set victory over Pratt. She then had 22 each in five-set losses to No. 16 West Plains and Jefferson College. With 103 total digs, Steele now has 857 for her career, which moves her into eighth place on the Blue Dragon career digs list.
