The Butler Grizzlies opened their 2015 campaign with a pair of 2-0 shutout victories over NJCAA top 10 opponents #2 Iowa Western and #8 Laramie County.  Jami Reichenberger made her college debut between the pipes by recording the two clean sheets with three saves vs Iowa Western and 2 saves vs Laramie County.  Reichenberger displayed a high level of comfort for it being her first collegiate games and against nationally ranked powers.  Reichenberger is off to a 2-0-0 start with a 0.00 GAA.

The Grizzlies back line was anchored by Amy Strath, sophomore, who helped shutout both opponents with her superior performance and dominating presence in the air.  Strath was also a constant threat going forward on many of Butler's set pieces. 

Vanessa Godina-Rodriguez, Garden City, scored Garden City's first goal of the season and capped off her week with the winning goal as the sophomore captain led the team to a 2-1 victory over Tabor College JV.
