Gaemphuang Ketrahong, Summer Griffiths Earn NJCAA D1 Women's Golf All-America Honors

GARDEN CITY, Kan. – Ending the year at the 2025 NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Golf Championships, two Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference women’s golf individuals have earned first-team All-America accolades for earning top-five finishes across the four-round tournament held at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, Kansas.
The 72-hole tournament, which took place May 12-15, saw both Dodge City Community College and Garden City Community College compete in the 16-team tournament with the Conquistadors leading the way with a seventh-place team finish after shooting a four-round total of 1,252 (+100). Garden City, finished the tournament with a team placing of 15th, shooting a total of 1,350 (+198) as 96 individuals took part in the tournament.
Leading the way individually for KJCCC athletes was Dodge City’s Gaemphuang Ketrahong who finished fourth individually with a 72-hole total of 298 (+10) after shooting rounds of 76-73-70-79 and tallied 10 total birdies throughout the tournament. The 10-over total was just two shots back of Chloe De Verner (Odessa College) and Asitha Ashok (Seminole State Florida) who each tied finished for second after seeing Napajira Nami Luesattha (Odessa College) shoot a new NJCAA National Championship record of nine-under, 279. The fourth-place finish for Ketrahong earned the sophomore first-team All-American honors after finishing tied for 25th at the 2024 National Championship meet which was held at Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Florida.
Finishing one stroke back of Ketrahong in a three-way tie for fifth was Garden City’s Summer Griffiths as the sophomore finished with scores of 74-72-77-76 to earn the highest individual finish in Garden City women’s golf program history. The finish also earned the Liverpool, United Kingdom native First-Team All-American honors to give the KJCCC two First-Team All-America selections.
