Final NJCAA Women's Basketball Rankings Of Regular Season Released, Features Five KJCCC Teams

CHARLOTTE, NC – For the final time in the 2025-26 regular season, the NJCAA has released its weekly NJCAA Division 1 and Division 2 women’s basketball top 25 polls, which feature a total of five Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference teams in their respective rankings.
Of the five teams this week that appear in the rankings, four are ranked, with all four currently sitting inside the top 15, while Allen Community College is once again back among a list of teams in the NJCAA Division 2 poll receiving votes just outside the rankings.
Putting together another two convincing wins over Fort Scott and Neosho County, Johnson County remains the unanimous number one team in the NJCAA Division 2 poll with a 29-0 record and 11-0 mark in the KJCCC with just one game remaining in the regular season. The Cavaliers have already clinched the KJCCC Division 2 women’s basketball regular season title and bye in the upcoming NJCAA Region 6 Division 2 Women’s Basketball Tournament and will open their postseason on Friday, March 6th in the semifinal round after finishing their regular season this coming Wednesday night. The Red Devils have won four of their last five games, including a road win over previously ranked Neosho County to move into a tie for second in the KJCCC Division two standings at 15-8 overall and 7-3 in the KJCCC.
Winners of 17 straight games, Butler Community College remains number two in the latest NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball poll following a 20-point home win over Barton, followed by a 73-47 road win at Cowley to improve to 26-1 overall. The Grizzlies currently have a two-game lead in the KJCCC Division 1 regular season standings with three games remaining and can clinch an outright KJCCC regular season title with a win in their next game. Meanwhile, Dodge City had little trouble with road games at Fort Hays Tech Northwest and Garden City, winning by scores of 70-28 and 85-68 to improve to 23-3 overall to move up one spot in the rankings to sixth. Hutchinson also made a move up the standings following wins over Colby and Coffeyville to climb four spots and take their highest ranking of the year at number 13.
The KJCCC Division 2 regular season comes to a close this week with games on Wednesday and Saturday, as tournament seeding is still to be determined for six of the seven seeds in the upcoming tournament. Meanwhile, KJCCC Division 1 play still has games spread across the next 10 days of the calendar as teams continue to jockey for position and potential home NJCAA Region 6 Tournament playoff games, with nine conference games taking place across the league on Wednesday night, followed by nine more games on Saturday afternoon.
