KJCCC Division 2 Softball Players of the Week - Week 11
COLBY, Kan. – Leading their teams to winning weeks and a combined 7-1 record last week, Allen Community College outfielder Taylor Damme and Cloud County Community College pitcher Maddie Harold have each been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Softball Players of the Week.
Taylor Damme – Allen (KJCCC Division 2 Softball Player of the Week)
Damme delivered an outstanding performance this week across four games against Cowley and number 12 Johnson County, emerging as a major offensive force. The freshman went eight-for-13 at the plate, posting an exceptional .615 batting average along with a .667 on-base percentage and a dominant 1.385 slugging percentage. Her production was highlighted by three home runs against number 12 Johnson County, totaling 18 bases across the doubleheader while also scoring six runs and driving in four.
Maddie Harold – Cloud County (KJCCC Division 2 Softball Pitcher of the Week)
Harold was electric in the circle in back-to-back days for Cloud County, tossing two complete games with a road win at Independence and at home against Highland. Opening the week against the Pirates, Harold allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits, striking out nine and helping the T-Birds to a road sweep of Independence for the first time since 2018. The next day against Highland, Harold tossed a one-hit shutout, striking out a career-high 11 in the win. The 20 strikeouts for the week now give Harold 109, the tops among all KJCCC D2 softball players.
