Player of the Week: Avery Ragsdale (Seward County)
Avery Ragsdale continues her strong offensive production last week as she hit .652 on the week to help Seward County to a 5-1 record. Ragsdale had 15 hits on 23 at-bats, with 16 RBIs, five doubles, two triples, and two home runs. Ragsdale the starting catcher for the Lady Saints also provided 33 putouts and had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. Ragsdale had her best performance of the week at Pratt Community College last Friday with 3 of 5 from the plate, and a single shy of hitting for the cycle with six RBIs in the 17-6 Seward County victory. With a 5-1 week the Lady Saints are now 10-16 on the year and 5-5 in the KJCCC.

Pitchers of the Week: Allyson Montgomery (Butler)
Allyson Montgomery, the Grizzlies sophomore pitcher from Goddard, Kansas had an impressive game of action for the Butler Softball team in their doubleheader with Barton Community College on the road. Montgomery started game one for the Grizzlies, which was her only appearance this week given the Grizzlies slim schedule. She pitched a complete seven inning game for the Grizzlies, allowing two earned runs on five hits while striking out an impressive 17 Cougar batters in the Grizzlies 5-2 victory. Allyson has been the Grizzlies' ace through the first 22 games of the season, as she leads the Grizzly pitching staff in wins (8), total strikeouts (77), innings pitched (60), and has a team best ERA of 3.15. Montgomery leads the KJCCC in strikeouts and sits in second place in both wins and ERA.
