KJCCC Division II Softball Players of the Week, Week 11, 2016

Jolona Shield, Cowley, had a big week at the plate as she recorded five multi-hit games and went 12-of-22 with four doubles, a triple, seven runs batted in and eight runs scored. Her solid play helped the Tigers go 6-0 on the week.

Johnson County sophomore Kelsee Henry hurled three complete game shutouts last week for the Lady Cavaliers. She logged 21 innings, with no runs, eight hits and 23 strikeouts. She began the week with a 1-0 shutout over Labette, and followed with a one-hit shutout over Hutchinson. She capped the week with a three-hit shutout over Hesston. Henry is now 9-2 on the season with 83 strikeouts.
