KJCCC Division I Softball Players of the Week, Week 2, 2016

Brittany Wood had one of the most impressive collegiate debuts in recent Barton Softball history with an opening day 5-of-7 five home run with eleven runs batted in powering the Cougars to an opening day sweep.  Batting .480 on the week driving in nineteen runs, Wood helped Barton return home 4-1 over the weekend's Midland College Spring Classic with two victories over ranked opponents adding three doubles to her stat line.

Madison Didion, Barton, had quite the week to start her collegiate career going 3-1, striking out thirty-two batters in just shy of twenty-three innings.   Didion recorded eighteen of the strikeouts against ranked opponents, including a ten strikeout four hit shutout of No. 15 ranked Midland College on their home turf.
