Four KJCCC Men's Soccer Teams Hold Top 10 Rankings In Latest NJCAA Polls

CHARLOTTE, NC – With the first two weeks of Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play complete, conference schools continue to make moves up the rankings in the latest NJCAA Division 1 and Division 2 men’s soccer top 20 polls.
This week’s polls feature three KJCCC teams ranked in the NJCAA Division 1 poll along with two ranked teams in the latest NJCAA Division 2 poll, with four of the five ranked teams currently occupying spots in the top 10 of their respective polls.
In the Division 1 men’s soccer rankings, Cowley holds at number four after having their first game in two weeks take place on Sunday with a 3-1 road win at Seward County to improve to 3-0-0. Moving up one spot up to number six is Barton Community College after the Cougars also earned a win over Seward County in their only game of the week last week, picking up a 4-0 road shutout. Joining Cowley and Barton after being listed as receiving votes last week is Dodge City Community College, with the Conquistadors now ranked number 17 after starting the season 4-0-2 overall following a road tie at Coffeyville and home win against Garden City last week.
The highest-ranked team from the KJCCC in the latest NJCAA Division 2 poll also comes with the number four ranking as Neosho County swaps spots with Iowa Lakes to move up one spot this week as the Panthers picked up a tie against Allen followed by a home win over previously ranked Central Community College. Johnson County held steady at number nine in this week’s poll, earning a 3-0 home win over Allen followed by a 3-3 draw at St. Louis Community College to close out their week of play.
Teams are off this week until Wednesday, September 17th when action resumes with conference play which includes a massive battle in Division 2 between Johnson County and Neosho County. The lone ranked matchup in Division 1 play this week will come on Sunday, September 21st as number 17 Dodge City will host number six Barton Community College to close out the week.
