2025 KJCCC D2 Men's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 5
COLBY, Kan. – Staying unbeaten with wins over top 10 Johnson County and Southeast Community College, the Neosho County men’s soccer team has swept the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Men’s Soccer Player of the Week awards, with Callum Niven and Josh Bogan each picking up their first honors of the year.
Callum Niven (Neosho County) – KJCCC D2 Men’s Soccer Player of the Week
Niven led number four ranked Neosho County to a perfect week last week which included a win over number nine Johnson County in a battle of the top two teams in the KJCCC. Opening the week against the ninth-ranked Cavaliers, Niven netted a goal in the 80th minute to double Neosho County's lead to 2-0 as the Panthers went on to earn their sixth-straight win over JCCC. Three days later, in a road match at Southeast, Niven went on to score both goals in a 2-0 victory to run his season total to nine goals in eight matches.
Josh Bogan (Neosho County) – KJCCC D2 Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
Bogan played a key role in both of number four-ranked Neosho County’s wins last week as the Panthers improved to 6-0-2 on the season with wins over number nine Johnson County and Southeast Community College. Against the ninth-ranked Cavaliers, Bogan turned away eight shots to help NCCC to a 2-0 win in a battle of top teams in the KJCCC before posting a second-straight shutout with nine more saves against Southeast to pick up his third clean sheet of the year.
