Player of the Week: Tajay Grant – Barton
Leading goal scorer Tajay Grant remained a key contributor to the #9 Barton offense collecting a pair of goals while producing an assist in the Cougars to a 3-0 week. Starting the week off, Grant initiated the game winning marker on a near-side cross setting up Genildo Postimo's strike propelling Barton to a 1-0 victory in Garden City. Sitting out in Friday's non-conference match, the sophomore helped erase a 2-0 deficit notching a pair of goals in a span of 24-minutes extending his points streak to five straight games with the Cougars netting the game winner two minutes later earning a 3-2 road win over #13 Coffeyville.
Goalkeeper of the Week: Brandon McGaugh – Johnson County
Johnson County sophomore goalkeeper Brandon McGaugh stopped all seven shots he faced to help preserve a 1-0 shutout at No. 13 Coffeyville last week. It was McGaugh's fourth straight shutout win and sixth of his career. McGaugh currently ranks second in the KJCCC save percentage (.843) and is third in goals against average (0.96) and fourth in saves (43).
