Seward County Guard Antonio Williams Jr. Named NJCAA D1 Men's Basketball Player of the Week
CHARLOTTE, NC – After putting up back-to-back 30-point outings to help the Seward County Community College men’s basketball team to a pair of wins in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play, Saint freshman Antonio Williams Jr. has been named the NJCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Freshman guard Antonio Williams Jr. helped lead Seward County to back-to-back wins, one at Garden City on Wednesday, followed by a home win over number 18-ranked Butler on Saturday. On Wednesday, Williams poured in a season-high 33 points, shooting a perfect 13-13 from the free throw line to go along with five rebounds and three assists as the Saints erased a 21-point second-half deficit, ultimately winning 92-90. Williams Jr. again topped 30 points on Saturday, finishing with 32 points and three assists while shooting 19-20 from the charity stripe in a 130-110 win over Butler. Williams Jr. and the Saints have won five consecutive games and head into the semester break atop the KJCCC standings with a 6-2 mark.
