2025-26 KJCCC Men's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 5
COLBY, Kan. – Monster performances from Dodge City Community College forward Wesley Rosa and Johnson County Community College guard Tavian Cruse have led to both players first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors during the 2025-26 season.
Wesley Rosa – Dodge City (KJCCC Division 1 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Dodge City picked up a road win in the KJCCC, beating Cloud County in overtime with a triple-double performance by Wesly Rosa to help lead the way for the win. Rosa had a career day with 22 points on nine-of-14 shooting and four-of-six from the free throw line, while grabbing 15 rebounds and blocking a career-best 13 shots. Rosa was dominant throughout the contest, including scoring 14 of his 22 points in the second half. Rosa leads the KJCCC and the NJCAA in blocks per game (3.4) and total blocks (31), while being second in field goal percentage (70.7 percent) in the KJCCC.
Tavian Cruse – Johnson County (KJCCC Division 2 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Johnson County sophomore Tavian Cruse helped power the number three-ranked Cavaliers to an 85-79 comeback victory at Metropolitan Community College last week with a monster double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds. Cruse made nine-of-16 shots and connected on four of seven free throw attempts. For the season, Cruse averages 14.9 points and a conference-best 8.5 rebounds per game.
