KJCCC FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - WEEK 12
Players from Butler, Coffeyville and Hutchinson earned spots on the final KJCCC Football Players of the Week list for 2022.
With a 200-yard game and four touchdowns against Ellsworth, Butler running back Azhuan Dingle was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week. Coffeyville defensive back had a three interception game against Garden City for Defensvie Player of the Week honors. Hutchinson's Jermaine Hamilton-Jordan made the play of the game with a blocked punt that led to a Blue Dragon go-ahead touchdown with less than 3 minutes remaining in a 29-28 win at No. 4 Iowa Western.
AZHUAN DINGLE, Butler - Offensive Player of the Week
Azhuan Dingle, asophomore running back from Bayonne, New Jersey, was huge in the Butler Grizzlies' dominant 40-9 victory over the Ellsworth Panthers this past Saturday. Dingle carried the Grizzlies' offense as he rumbled his way to 245 yards on 31 carries as well as four scores. Dingle's 245 yards rushing was the most in the game by a Grizzly since October 17th, 2015 against Coffeyville when Koby McCrary had 249 yards on the ground. His four scores on the ground was also the most by any Grizzly since Dreamius Smith had four touchdowns against Independence on September 15th, 2012. Dingle's big performance also put him over 1,000 rushing yards on the season, the first Grizzly 1,000 yard rusher since the 2019 season when Brock Sturges rushed for over 1,000 yards. Dingle is also second in the NJCAA in both rushing yards at 1,030 and rushing touchdowns with 17.

BISHOP FITZGERALD, Coffeyville - Defensive Player of the Week
Red Raven sophomore safety Bishop Fitzgerald was a menace all afternoon against the Broncbusters of Garden City. Bishop, a sophomore from Dale City, Virginia, intercepted three passes on the day for a total of 43 return yards. Two of Bishop's three interceptions came in the fourth quarter as Garden City was attempting to mount a comeback. This was the second time this season Fitzgerald was named Defensive Player of the Week and it's the third-straight week a Red Raven player has earned the league's weekly defensive honor.

JERMAINE HAMILTON-JORDAN, Hutchinson - Special Teams Player of the Week
Blue Dragon redshirt freshman linebacker Jermaine Hamilton-Jordan had the play of the game with a blocked punt that led to a go-ahead touchdown as No. 1 Hutchinson rallied in the final 8 minutes from 11 points down to defeat No. 4 Iowa Western 29-28. Trailing 28-23 with less than 3 minutes to play, Hamilton-Jordan broke around the left end of the punt formation and blocked a Reiver punt that was scooped up at the 40 and returned for a go-ahead touchdown with 2:42 to play. After he blocked the punt, Hamilton-Jordan got downfield and provided the final block to allow Jaimelle Claytor to score the touchdown. Hamilton-Jordan also provided a tackle each on kickoff coverage and on punt coverage.
