KJCCC FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - WEEK 9
The Top-ranked Hutchinson Blue Dragons swept the Week 9 awards for the KJCCC Football Players of the Week.
Following Hutchinson's 65-7 win over Garden City on Saturday, receiver Tremvon Echols was named the Offensive Player of the Week, cornerback Ja'Maric Morris was named the Defensive Player of the Week and kicker Cole Segraves was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
TREYMON ECHOLS, Hutchinson - Offensive Player of the Week
Hutchinson Community College sophomore receiver Treyvon Echols posted single-game highs for receptions, yards and touchdowns as No. 1 Hutchinson rolled by Garden City 65-7 on Saturday in Garden City. Echols had four catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Echols caught a 29-yard TD strike to start the third quarter and then called in a career-long 64-yard touchdown pass as part of a 38-0 second half for the Blue Dragons.
JA'MARIC MORRIS, Hutchinson - Defensive Player of the Week
Blue Dragon sophomore defensive back Ja'Maric Morris helped the Blue Dragon defense tie a school record for interceptions in a game and had his second Pick-6 of the season in No. 1 Hutchinson's 65-7 victory over Garden City on Saturday in Garden City. Morris had two of Hutchinson's school-record-tying five interceptions, including a 70-yard interception return for a touchdown. Morris now had a team-high four interceptions this season. Morris had five total tackles and a quarterback hurry.

COLE SEGRAVES, Hutchinson - Special Teams Player of the Week
Blue Dragon freshman kicker Cole Segraves scored 17 of No. 1 Hutchinson's 65 total points in a 65-7 victory over Garden City on Saturday. Segraves was 8 of 8 on extra points and 3 of 4 on field goals, connecting from 21, 32 and 38 yards. He also had five kickoffs, kicking into a strong north wind. All five kickoffs resulted in fair catches.
