Charlie Benton was everywhere for the Butler defense Saturday night in a win over Fort Scott. He led Butler with 11 tackles, five of which were solo stops. He had a sack, broke up a pass and also intercepted a pass, which he returned 26 yards for a touchdown.

Freshman receiver Jaylen Erwin had a huge impact in his first game for the Blue Dragons in helping Hutchinson pull off the biggest comeback in school history in a 50-42 victory over Coffeyville on Saturday at Gowans Stadium. Erwin had three catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns to help Hutch rally from 25 points down just 21 minutes into the game. Erwin caught a 44-yard touchdown strike just before halftime to pull the Dragons within 25-23. He then caught a 57-yard TD strike with 13:56 remaining in the game to give the Dragons a 43-42 lead. Erwin also had three kickoff returns with a long of 28. He averaged 25.3 yards per kickoff return.
