KJCCC Baseball West Division Players of the Week - Week 7
COLBY, Kan. – Ranked Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference West Division teams Cloud County and Hutchinson have swept the KJCCC Baseball West Division Player of the Week awards for the second straight week as Blue Dragon Jordan Kuhnau and Thunderbird Ian Razak have each earned their first award of the season.
Jordan Kuhnau – Hutchinson (KJCCC Baseball West Division Player of the Week)
Outfielder Jordan Kuhnau had a huge week, helping HCC to five wins for the number 16-ranked Blue Dragons after hitting .500 at the plate. Kuhnau was nine for 18 with four home runs, 15 RBI, and 10 runs scored. Recording an on-base percentage of .571 and a slugging percentage of 1.222, Kuhnau had an extra-base hit in four of five games, which included home runs in three different contests throughout the week. For the season, Kuhnau is now sixth in the NJCAA with 12 home runs and 10th in RBIs with 42.
Ian Razak – Cloud County (KJCCC Baseball West Division Pitcher of the Week)
Razak tossed six innings, allowing one unearned run in a 24-1 win for Cloud County over Garden City as Cloud County won three of four games against the Broncbusters. This season, Razak is 3-0 with one save and has allowed just four earned runs in 23.1 innings pitched while averaging nearly one strikeout per inning.
