Five KJCCC Baseball Players Named NJCAA All-Americans
2025 NJCAA D1 Baseball All-America Teams
CHARLOTTE, NC – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has released its 2025 Baseball All-America teams with five Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference baseball players picking up All-America honors for their play throughout the season.
The five players represent five different KJCCC institutions, with four of the five teams finishing in the top two of their respective KJCCC Baseball Divisions during the regular season. KJCCC schools represented on the NJCAA D1 Baseball All-America teams include Cloud County, Cowley, Colby Johnson County, and Neosho County. Within the breakdown is a pair of second-team All-Americans (Kyler Zagar – Cowley, Isaiah Padilla – Colby), while the remaining three All-America selections were named Honorable Mention All-America honorees.
Kyler Zagar (Cowley) NJCAA Division 1 Baseball Second Team All-American
KJCCC East Division Pitcher of the Year and a member of the 2025 NJCAA Plains District Tournament All-Tournament Team, Zagar posted a 10-1 record this season in 14 starts with 73 strikeouts in 65.0 innings pitched. The freshman left-hander was electric throughout the season on the mound by finishing the year with a 2.77 earned run average and a 4.29 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Nationally, Zagar ranked eighth among all pitchers in wins and 65th in strikeouts while averaging 10.11 strikeouts per contest.
Isaiah Padilla (Colby) NJCAA Division 1 Baseball Second Team All-American
KJCCC West Division Most Valuable Player after leading the division in batting average (.458), Padilla also tied for the West Division lead in home runs (17) and ranked second in the division in RBI after appearing in 49 games for the Trojans this past season. Of Padilla’s 77 hits, 34 went for extra bases as the sophomore had a league-leading .552 on-base percentage and .859 slugging percentage with both numbers rising during conference play to .632 and 1.022, respectively. On a national level, Padilla ranked fourth in batting average, fifth in on-base percentage and slugging percentage, 16th in home runs, and 20th in total bases (146).
Denton Biller (Johnson County) NJCAA Division 1 Baseball Honorable Mention All-American
Recording 10 pitching wins on the mound and helping Johnson County to a third-straight appearance in the NJCAA Division1 Baseball JUCO World Series, Biller recorded 69 strikeouts in 64.1 innings pitched and held opponents this season to a .226 batting average when on the mound. The freshman did not record a pitching loss this season and allowed just 12 extra-base hits while averaging 9.65 strikeouts per game.
Nolan Freund (Cloud County) NJCAA Division 1 Baseball Honorable Mention All-American
Leading all KJCCC offensive players in hits (100) and total bases (152), Freund finished the year as one of just two players in NJCAA Division 1 Baseball to record at least 100 hits this season and finished the year with a .422 batting average. Nationally, Freund ranked in the top-10 of NJCAA Division 1 Baseball in plate appearances (283, 8th), at-bats (237, 5th), and hits (100, 2nd) while ranking 11th in doubles (23) and 14th in total bases.
Maverick Williamson (Neosho County) NJCAA Division 1 Baseball Honorable Mention All-American
KJCCC Baseball East Division Freshman of the Year, Williamson finished as the KJCCC East Division leader in RBI this season (74) and made his presence known in his first collegiate season by hitting .359 with a league-best 21 home runs. Striking out just 39 times in 192 at-bats, Williamson’s 69 hits ranked fifth in KJCCC play with 40 hits coming during conference play while also recording an on-base percentage of .425 and a .755 slugging percentage. Recording 15 multi-hit games and having at least one hit in 43 of 55 games played, Williamson also drew 17 walks and was hit by a pitch eight times. Nationally, Williamson’s 21 home runs ranked eighth while his 74 RBI ranked 18th among all NJCAA Division 1 Baseball players.
