KJCCC East Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, Week 13
KJCCC East Player of the Week: Mason Holton – Coffeyville Community College
Mason lead the Ravens offensively for the week leading to the sweep of Highland. He had 10 RBI for the week while hitting .538. The 10 RBI helped Holton set the school record for RBI in a single season, he is now at 61 for the year. He also started game 4 on the mound, giving up 1 earned run.
KJCCC East Pitcher of the Week: Easten Smith – Fort Scott Community College
Easten closed the door twice in a pivotal series against the 4th seed Neosho. Coming in with the bases loaded in Game 1, he got out of the jam in the 6th and then had a stress-free 7th. In Game 4, he inherited a similar scenario, getting out of another bases loaded jam in the 8th (5-1) and closing out the sweep in the 9th. Easten is now up to 5 saves on the season, being a constant out of the Greyhound bullpen all season long.
