KJCCC West Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, Week 13
KJCCC West Player of the Week: Demitri Shakotko – Cloud County Community College
Demitri Shakotko put together his strongest week of the season as the Fredericton, New Brunswick native would go 13-17 with 8 RBI and four extra-base hits to help Cloud County take a 3-1 series victory over Colby in KJCCC action. With multi-hit games in all four games this past week, Shakotko would raise his batting average 38 points week over week (.390 to .428) despite entering the series with the Trojans with 117 at-bats on the year. Shakotko now has a nine-game hitting streak and 19 consecutive game reached base streak to rank sixth in the KJCCC in batting average overall while hitting an astounding .505 in conference play to lead all other qualified players by 26 points in batting average in KJCCC-only contests.
KJCCC West Pitcher of the Week: Justus Revill – Dodge City Community College
Dodge City baseball took on Butler and in game three of the series Justus Revill helped propel the Conquistadors to a 7-1 win. Revill tossed a complete game seven innings to earn the win giving up one unearned run on three hits, three walks, and a hit batter, while striking out a career-high 11.
Revill had his longest outing of his Conquistador career and best outing overall recording 11 strikeouts. On the season Revill has tossed 32.2 innings with a 2-0 record in 10 appearances and five starts with a save, recording 36 strikeouts.
