KJCCC West Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, Week 8
KJCCC West Player of the Week: Jacob Trombley – Pratt Community College
Pratt sophomore first baseman Jacob Trombley delivered a strong all-around week in the first conference series sweep for the Beavers since 2016. He would have 3 multi-hit games to finish the weekend culminating with a 2-homerun game in game 4. He would add 9 runs scored and 7 RBIs to go with 4 stolen bases as well to help pace the offense. The sophomore is currently hitting .320 with 8 homeruns to go with 14 stolen bases on the year.
KJCCC West Pitcher of the Week: Tristan Wolf – Dodge City Community College
Dodge City baseball right-handed Barton their first home loss of the season and first KJCCC loss of the year snapping a 19-game home win streak that the Cougars had. Tristan Wolf was a key reason the Conquistadors earned the win as he tossed seven innings to earn the win giving up one unearned run on seven hits and no walks, while striking out four.
Wolf with his seven innings became the school record holder in career innings pitched at 146.1 innings and earlier this season broke the career strikeouts school record. On the season Wolf has thrown 34.2 innings with 39 strikeouts to 14 walks in nine appearances with eight starts and a 3-2 record.
