KJCCC East Player of the Week: Cooper Combs – Johnson County Community College
Johnson County sophomore outfielder Cooper Combs helped lead the No. 18 Cavaliers to a four-game sweep over North Iowa Area over the weekend. He hit .533 (8-for-15) with a double, a home run, eight runs scored and nine driven in. He posted multiple-RBI in three of the four games. In the final game, he was 4-for-5 with a double, three runs and three RBI. His two-run homer in the fifth inning of the third game of the series put JCCC up 3-0 on their way to a 12-2 victory.
KJCCC East Pitcher of the Week: Dax Sharp – Neosho County Community College
Neosho County left-handed pitcher Dax Sharp was perfect for 4.1 innings in a 10-0 win over Metropolitan. He finished allowing 1 hit over 5 innings with seven strikeouts.
