KJCCC West Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, Week 1
KJCCC West Player of the Week: Trenton Rowan – Seward County Community College
Trenton Rowan opened his college career at Seward County with a .667 batting average, 8-14 from the plate, three doubles, and a walk off RBI single on Saturday night. Rowan a true freshman from Erie, Colorado led the Saints to a 4-0 overall record with a series sweep over Trinidad State at Brent Gould Field. With runners on the corners Rowan connected on a line drive to left field that scored the winning run in the final game of the series as the Saints came back from a 9-3 deficit to win 10-9 over the Trojans. Defensively, Rowan had 11 putouts from his role at third base with zero errors, for a 1.000 fielding percentage on the weekend.
KJCCC West Pitcher of the Week: Justis Revill – Dodge City Community College
Dodge City baseball opened the 2023 season on the road with a three-game series against Ranger in Texas. The Conquistadors picked up their first win of the season in the series finale with Justus Revill being stellar on the mound for the Conqs earning the win after tossing five scoreless innings giving up just three hits and five walks, while striking out five.
