OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The Johnson County Community College baseball team swept Coffeyville in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon, March 26, at the Cavaliers baseball field, giving head coach Kent Shelley career wins 899 and 900. The Cavaliers took the opener 5-4 followed by a 3-0 shutout. Shelley, now in his 29^th season, is 900-540-1. 

In the first game, the Cavaliers appeared to have a comfortable lead entering the top of the seventh at 5-1, but the Red Ravens plating three runners before Keaton Graf struck out the only batter he faced to seal the win and pick up the save. 

Brandt Ollinger racked up three RBIs on two hits for Johnson County. He doubled in the second and homered in the fourth innings.

Brennan Lewis was solid on the hill in his six innings of work. He allowed one run, walked three and struck out six batters. 

In the second game, JCCC freshman left-hander Stuart Baruth tossed nine innings of shut out baseball to pick up a 3-0 win. Baruth scattered five singles and walked just one while striking out 12 batters. 

Ollinger again had the hot bat, reaching base twice in the game, with a single and a triple, and drove in one of the runs.
