Ellis had 3 assists for the Cougars Barton secured the Jayhawk Conference Championship for the 7th time in 9 years. Ellis had those 3 assists as a defender for Barton. It was the Cougars defense that shined on the week as Barton allowed just 2 shots in its 3 games. Ellis has been playing in the back row nearly the entire season but still has 7 goals and 4 assists while helping Barton to 7 shutouts from this defender spot.

Dewey saved 13 of the 14 shots on goal during the week. He saved 8 in a double overtime 0-0 draw with KCK while saving 5 of 6 in a 2-1 win over Neosho. The win and draw secured the school�s 1st-ever home playoff contest to start Region VI play next week.
