KJCCC Division II Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week
Johnson County sophomore middle hitter Anna Hester helped the Lady Cavaliers to five wins, three against nationally ranked teams. Hester tallied 59 total kills, an average of 3.3 per set, and hit .290 for the week. She also had 18 blocks and five digs. She reached double figures for kills in four of the five matches, highlighted by a 16-kill effort against No. 2 ranked Parkland.
KJCCC Division II Volleyball Setter of the Week
Sophomore setter Jade Askren recorded 177 total assists and averaged 9.8 per set over 18 sets last week, helping Johnson County to five wins, including three over nationally ranked teams. In the win over nationally ranked Lincoln Land, Askren had 43 assists, her third-best total of her career. She also registered 33 digs and 10 service aces.
KJCCC Division II Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Freshman libero Rylie Barnum tallied 137 digs and reached double digits in all five matches last weekend, including a season-best 38 digs in a four-set win over Highland, followed by a 36-dig effort in a win over nationally ranked Parkland. She averaged 7.6 digs per set over the 18 sets of action. Her 271 total digs for the season rank sixth in NJCAA D-II volleyball.
