2016-17 KJCCC Women's Basketball Players of the Week, Week 8

Sophomore Ki'Asha Harris helped guide the Panthers to a perfect record on the week as she posted her 4th and 5th double-doubles of the season in a pair of wins. She began the week with a 12 point 17 rebound performance in the Panthers road win at Colby. The 17 rebounds set a new career high for Harris. She capped the week off with 25 points and 11 rebounds as the Panthers knocked off Garden City. Her basket and ensuing made free throw with less than 10 seconds left regained the lead for the Panthers who would go on to win in overtime. For the season Harris leads the Panthers averaging 12.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. 

Freshman Mariane Carvalho led the Scotties in scoring and rebounding in a tough loss at Iowa Western. Carvalho set single game Highland scoring record with 39 points on 16-28 shooting and led the Scotties with 7 rebounds, she also set a a single game record for most field goals in a game with 16.
