
2017 KJCCC D1 Softball Players of the Week, Week 10
Brynn Minor not only homered in all four Butler games this week, but she also hit a whopping .692 (9-13) in those four games. She was 4-4 in the first game against Dodge City with two doubles and a homer, driving in three runs. She finished the week with four homers, two doubles, a walk, six RBI and eight runs scored. She has a 24-game hitting streak, and now with 22 home runs, is just two shy of the program's single-season record of 24, set by Kate James in 2013.
Regan Mergele threw 8.1 scoreless innings last week, earning the win in two of Butler's four games played. She went 5 scoreless vs Dodge with just one hit allowed and eight strikeouts, then went 3.1 scoreless vs Pratt with four strikeouts. She is now 19-0 on the season.
