2017 KJCCC D2 Softball Players of the Week, Week 4

Lauren Scott had a breakout performance for the Lady Hounds during week four, landing at least one hit in each of Fort Scott's six games. Scott went 11-of-19 at the plate resulting in a .579 batting average and .600 on base percentage. She excelled in multiple base hits with four doubles and two home runs. She also capitalized with runners on base, driving in 11, with no strike outs for the week. Lauren has produced the biggest single week batting average, on base percentage, slugging percentage and one base plus slugging in the last five years at Fort Scott.

D.J. Cannon picked up two pitching wins and struck out 16 batters in 7 2-3 innings in two appearances last week. She tossed a complete game victory with 11 strikeouts in a four-hit shutout in a 12-0 victory over the Tabor College Bluejays. She then worked 2 2-3 innings in relief of Hutch's 13-6 come from behind win over Tabor and added five strikeouts in that game.
