Barton Community College seeks a full-time, replacement Assistant Athletic Trainer. This 12-month position is responsible for assisting the Head Athletic Trainer in the administration and management of an athletic training program covering 20 sports programs. Primary responsibilities include the prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of athletic related injuries and illnesses, and other duties as assigned by the head athletic trainer. This position requires the ability to function professionally in a highly stressful and competitive environment. Hesston College seeks a full-time Athletic Director. Primary responsibilities align within the academic year with limited summer requirements. The Athletic Director leads all aspects of the athletic department with a focus on maintaining athletic core covenants that are the foundation for every team: accountability; joy; engagement; and community. The Athletic Director is responsible for the development, management, coordination and supervision of a competitive intercollegiate athletics program with 14 teams. The Athletic Director is responsible for the following key areas: 1. Visionary leadership, strategic planning and policy maintenance for the athletics program; 2. Works to create and foster a Christ-centered environment that provides opportunities for the development of the whole person; 3. Recruits, manages, and supports the coaching, administrative and athletic training staff; 4. Works closely with coaches and the admissions department to plan for and meet enrollment goals; 5. Provides oversight and management of athletic events; 6. Ensures compliance with all college, national association and conference policies, rules and regulations; 7. Administers the overall athletic fundraising plan and the overall athletic budget; and 8. Works closely with campus leadership to closely integrate athletics into the overall institutional goals.  Hesston College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and recently joined the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC).  Preferred candidates will have an advanced degree and several years working experience relevant to this position. Hesston College seeks a Head Athletic Trainer to begin August 2018. As part of the Athletic department, this is a full-time, 9-month, benefits-eligible position. The Head Athletic Trainer isresponsible for the development, administration and delivery of comprehensive athletic training services to the men's and women's athletic programs. They will lead efforts with the prevention, recognition, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. This includes coverage of the Hesston College athletic training room with some evening and weekend responsibilities as well as practice and home competition coverage. The Head Athletic Trainer must abide by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) code of ethics, the Board of Certification (BOC) standards of practice for athletic trainers, and partake regularly in inter-professional collaboration. Effective communication is critical. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training (professional degree), CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer, Athletic Training Certified (ATC), Kansas licensed athletic trainer (LAT), 2 years post certification experience. A combination of requirements may also be considered. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree in athletic training or health related field, > 2 years of post-certification experience.
