Hesston College seeks a Head Athletic Trainer to begin August 2018. As part of the Athletic department, this is a full-time, 9-month, benefits-eligible position. The Head Athletic Trainer isresponsible for the development, administration and delivery of comprehensive athletic training services to the men's and women's athletic programs. They will lead efforts with the prevention, recognition, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. This includes coverage of the Hesston College athletic training room with some evening and weekend responsibilities as well as practice and home competition coverage. The Head Athletic Trainer must abide by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) code of ethics, the Board of Certification (BOC) standards of practice for athletic trainers, and partake regularly in inter-professional collaboration. Effective communication is critical. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training (professional degree), CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer, Athletic Training Certified (ATC), Kansas licensed athletic trainer (LAT), 2 years post certification experience. A combination of requirements may also be considered. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree in athletic training or health related field, > 2 years of post-certification experience.
